Closeups: Patches

My only girl, Patches is very feminine.  Her personality is sedate, shy, but so loving.  Pure sweetness.

We have some lovely conversations at times, too.

Even though she’s normally shy, she is enjoying having her photo taken.

Peacock Feather Wild

Romeo is usually quite a well-mannered boy; however, show him a peacock feather, and he goes wild!!  Here’s the “proof of the pudding.”

 

 

 

 

Rusty Is Great Company

Rusty follows me around the house just like a puppy would.

Today, as usual, when I went into the bathroom to clean out the litter boxes, there he was – tagging along and keeping me company on the counter.

Face-off!!

Romeo and Rusty are great buddies.  Even when they look like they are going to have a “to-do,” it’s never serious.  What happens is:  Romeo runs off and Rusty chases after him, and they run around the house for a while, each chasing the other.  And that’s it.

My reward?  They are so much fun to watch.  Just a little peek into why I love them!  They’re great company.

 

Rusty is always the instigator. Notice the fluffed tail!  And ears back!  Looks like Romeo is ready to take flight.

Clean Sheet Fun and Excitement!

Ever since Rusty has been a member of my family, he has shown that he is very adventurous and particularly fun-loving.

When I am putting clean linens on my bed, he runs in from wherever he is in the house, and jumps up onto the clean sheet.  He doesn’t care whether I’m finished spreading it out or fixing it in place on the mattress; in fact, it’s really more fun when it’s still rumpled!!  And he can’t wait to have fun!

 

You can see by his expression, that he’s anticipating some fun here.  He’s bright-eyed and ready to kick up a storm.  Ready for action!!  To get a better view of Rusty’s face, left click on it.

 

He’s surveying his territory, figuring out what he’ll do next.

Sliding is one of his favorite things on the clean sheet. Only when it’s clean; otherwise, when not perfectly clean, he’s not interested in sliding.

Rolling on the sheet is another activity that gives Rusty much pleasure!

Patches is more sedate. She likes neat sheets.
