Trying To Solve A Mystery

I walked into the bathroom the other evening, and found Rusty sitting on the edge of the bathtub, fixated on something outside on the other side of the glass blocks.  Since it was nighttime, I couldn’t see what had caught his attention, but it probably was a lizard.  After all, we have plenty of them here in South Florida, and was attracted to the light from inside.

As usual, I grabbed my camera to get some shots while he was continuously following whatever was outside.

Evidently, the lizard moved across the window, and of course, Rusty followed it to the other side of the tub.

Oops! It looks like the lizard moved to the other side again. What a tease it is. I’m sure it knows that Rusty would love to play with it.

I enjoy watching Rusty enjoy himself.  He’s such a pleasure!!

Feather Fun

Feathers are fun; at least, Rusty thinks so.  He’s the most playful of the three.  I got a few shots with the feather that I want to share with you all.

This was a rare one in which I caught his mouth open, tongue out, trying to grab the feather.

My Cooking Supervisor

Rusty follows his Mom all over the house.  He loves to be near when I’m in the kitchen, fixing some food for myself on the counter.  He makes himself very comfortable on the bar overlooking the counter.  He usually supervises, but this time, he kind of dozed off.  That’s OK.  I can manage without his help this time.

Rusty: A Touchy – Feely – Cuddley Guy

Rusty, you are the best cuddle-er.  I know that isn’t a real word, but it fits.  Someone once said, “If it works, don’t fix it.”  My cats aren’t lap cats, but they know how to get close to their Mom.

Fortunately, I had my camera close by when I sat down on the loveseat in the family room.  Darling little Rusty takes that as his signal to run in from wherever he was at the time, and jump up next to me.  Front paws aren’t enough.  His back paws have to touch Mom, too.  HEAVEN – This must be it.

How Am I Supposed To Do Any Work Here?

My cats, Patches, Rusty and Romeo, love to keep me company when I’m in the office, working on my computer.  All work has to stop when all three decide to keep me company at the same time.

Caught In The Act: Rusty

I don’t know where or how Rusty learned to open the sliding door to my closet (maybe he watched Romeo doing it), but he is now a “pro.”

When I saw him starting to open the door (it’s not a lightweight), I ran to get my camera.

Rusty was vigorously pawing at the door.

 

The tail tells the tale.  In like Flynn.

Closeups: Patches

My only girl, Patches is very feminine.  Her personality is sedate, shy, but so loving.  Pure sweetness.

We have some lovely conversations at times, too.

Even though she’s normally shy, she is enjoying having her photo taken.

She is putting up with the camera now, but she enjoys being close.

Absolutely adorable how the albino rabbit follows the cat. Enjoy.

No More Separation Anxiety

Problem solved.  Rusty is not unhappy anymore at night.  He is now sleeping with his Mom.

We tried different scenarios, but now we are both getting a night’s sleep.  It feels good.
