Rusty Plays With The Blue Feather

 

Rusty is an Exotic – otherwise known as “Short-Haired Persian.”  They are recognized as a separate breed, however.

The Persian strain is very laid-back, and don’t get as excited as other breeds of cats can.  So, when Rusty shows an interest in an activity, I’m the one who gets excited!

Romeo has been surprising me lately – maybe I’ve said that before – but it’s true.  He seems to find ways to do that.  But, it doesn’t take much.

Today, he has attached himself to a blue feather that I pulled out from the toy drawer.  He never paid much attention to it previously.

He looks comfortable enough.  When doesn’t he?

 

 

Romeo Likes Birds…. Feathers, That Is

Romeo doesn’t usually get excited about his toys – maybe they’re all too old.  But, actually, there haven’t been that many things that have really set him off.  Until…..

Romeo, I have a surprise for you!

Wow! I didn’t expect such a reaction.

Go get ‘im, Romeo.

It does my heart good, to see him enjoy himself!

Feathers and Furs

Today was a great play day with Patches and Romeo.  Not that every day isn’t, but today was special.  We really connected.  I was keeping both of them busy with feathers.  And they kept me very busy, too!!

I was moving a feather around inside the Pet Zone toy, and Romeo loves to try to grab it.

Romeo wasn’t letting anyone get his feathers.

He finally grabbed the feathers and was having a great time.

I kept wiggling the feathers on the stick, and it got his interest, for sure!

Now, how did the feathers get away from him? Have to try to get them back!

Patches’s experience was a very satisfying one!

Hmmm. Love you, feather. You’re my favorite – yes!

Aw. Come back!

Mom’s hand feels good. She know just where to stroke me.

Just for that, here’s a kiss, Ma.

Wow. I need a rest after all that playing! I’m all “played” out.

I was all “played” out, too.  Between moving the feathers, stick, mouse in Pet Zone, and keeping the camera ready and snapping shots as quickly as the camera let me, I was done for quite a while.  Lots of shots were deleted, of course, and the ones that were left are here for your viewing pleasure!
